October 2022
In meditation one day in October, she came. “I bring you love; I bring you peace. Breathe my child – slowly breathe. Not just for this day, but for every day. You sit in great love, safety, and peace. You are not alone. Your imperfections are what make you perfect. A unique individual, yet part of the whole. Isn’t it amazing!?”
Her arms were outstretched. She was draped in blue and white cloth and illuminated from below as if standing on a light. I could not make out her features. Roses were draped around her shoulders and hands like a rosary. She was happy this day.
“Everything is just as it should be. Sit in peace. I will see you another day.”

“You don’t feel worthy to ask me to heal your pain. That is exactly why you have pain – you carry it as a reminder that you are broken, but you are not. A reminder that you are less then, but you are not! Let go of these falsehoods and your pain will leave you. But I never will. Commit now that you will sit in silence daily and allow me when I come to you. Remember that I have chosen you. I too thought I was not worthy once.” I saw her as a frightened young girl when the angel Gabriel came to her. “That is a human concern that means nothing. This is your path dear one – walk it or else miss out on life. I am always here. Need a rose? I will come.”
The next day I was driving to the grocery store with my daughter. A bright spot in the clouds caught my attention through the sunroof. I looked towards the sky and saw a very different cloud formation.
“That kind of looks like an angel,” I said to my daughter. She responded with her normal teenager grunt. She was used to me pointing out shapes in the clouds and assumed this time was no different. I must admit, I assumed the same.
There were no other cars in sight,
so I stopped the car and took a picture. I pulled up a bit and took another and another. As the clouds began to fade, I went on my way.
That evening I remembered the pictures I had taken. I told my husband, “You need to see these pictures of some crazy clouds I took today. They almost looked like an angel. As the words came out of my mouth, I gazed upon the photo on my phone. “Oh…...My……God….it IS an angel!” I was shocked at how the figure in the photo was so much clearer than it had been in the sky. I handed him the phone so he could see the photo for himself. He looked at it for a moment. As he handed my phone back to me, he said, “Yup, that’s an angel.”
If I had seen with my eyes what was so clear in the picture, I would have fallen to my knees in the middle of the street.
I went to write this experience in my journal. When I opened it, I reread the last line in my previous entry… "Need a rose? I will come.”
What did I capture in those photos? Was it an angel sent by Mary or was it Mary herself? Whatever it was, I know that I was blessed to witness a miracle that day. I saw a being, not of this world, manifest and allow me to have undeniable proof in a photo.
Nope, I didn’t need a rose this time.
